How Can Fatherhood Initiative Help Me?

Fatherhood Initiative An affiliate of the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI), the Fatherhood Initiative helps fathers and male role models focus on the importance of being involved, responsible, and committed to the lives of their children. This program promotes healthy physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual development.

24/7 Dad™: helps males develop positive skills to contribute to the health and well-being of their children and families. Men will learn how to get involved in children’s lives, balance work, family and all the stresses of daily living. Classes consist of 12, two-hour sessions in a group setting or in a one-on-one home-based setting, or shortened to six, two-hour sessions meeting twice per week.

Foundations of Fatherhood: helps men to understand their roles as fathers in order to contribute to their community, children, and families. This program consists of 12, two-hour sessions in a group setting, in a one-on-one home-based setting, or accelerated by meeting twice per week.

Long Distance Dads: collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections to assist incarcerated men in developing skills to become more involved and supportive fathers. Facilitated by trained peer leaders in 12 weekly sessions within a group format.
