How Can Minority Outreach Help Me? |
Minority Outreach helps individuals of “minority” status or a group differing (especially in race, religion, or ethnic background) from the majority population.
Parent-to-Parent: combines a parenting class with support from other parents in the group through a series of workshops focusing on drug and alcohol education. Workshops are available in four or eight-week sets of classes or can be adapted to any organization.
Grandparents as Parents: Many grandparents now take on the role of parents. This group helps provide education and support to help grandparents in their reoccurring role as parents.
Non-Custodial Parents: group that helps non-custodial parents find ways to become more actively involved in children’s daily lives.
Step Parenting: step parents share the challenges of this unique parenting situation, while receiving education and support.
Volunteer Opportunities: Minority Outreach seeks caring volunteers to facilitate classes and support groups, assist in planning special events, and more. Please call the office if interested.
